"Generation after generation pampering these lands to harvest their fruit and create our wines. Rioja wines that offer us a unique experience for you to enjoy, whose main objective is to combine tradition, quality and innovation."
The vineyard
In order to obtain the highest quality wines, it is necessary to have our own agricultural heritage, which allows the winery to be independent. For this reason, all our wine production comes from the family vineyard, which consists of 100 hectares, whose production represents 100% of its needs. It is also characteristic of the lands where it is located, Aldeanueva de Ebro, Alfaro, Autol and Rincón de Soto, all of them belonging to the D.O.C.a. Rioja.
These are old vineyards with low yields, calcareous clay soil with a large amount of pebbles which allows for greater root penetration and better water filtration. In 2005 José Vicente Domeco de Jarauta created Bodegas Domeco de Jarauta when his son joined the family business.
The varieties we grow are Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano; typical varieties of La Rioja, which with the extreme climatic conditions of this region, wet and cold winters, dry summers, favor the practice of quality viticulture. La Rioja is one of the few regions in the world in which only red wine is made with native varieties and this is one of the points of our philosophy, to cultivate our own varieties that have managed to position Rioja wine among the best wines in the world.

Cañada
Located in the foothills of Yerga is the most extensive vineyard of the property with an altitude of 500 meters above sea level. In this vineyard you can find our Garnacha Blanca, singular Tempranillos and one of the oldest Garnacha vineyards, with an age of about 50 years.
Alcajuelos
It is a vineyard that the founder of the winery José Vicente Domeco de Jarauta planted during his youth, this vineyard is a selection of an old clone of the tempranillo variety. Located near Aldeanueva de Ebro, clay-limestone soil type, large amount of boulders, shallow soil, poor and composed of bedrock.

Morenillo
We believe that this name is due to the color of the grapes. Vineyard that has been in the family for generations. Cool soil that allows the grapes to comfortably pass the hottest hours of the summer.
Sendero Royal
The winery is located in this vineyard. It is one of the most historic plots in the Aldeanueva vineyard due to its soil type and proximity to the wineries which at that time were located within the village. The oldest plantation is a terroir-driven Garnacha. This variety is highly appreciated in this area of scarce rainfall.

Hoyalengua
Located in one of the highest areas of Aldeanueva, almost at the limit for the ripening of the grapes, this allows us a late harvest that gives character to Lar de Sotomayor organic wine. The cultivation of this vineyard is traditional as it was done by previous generations of our family.
